Ive overclocked the Q6600 before, was hoping to get to 3.5ghz range but ended up at only 3.1ghz (anything above that I had the same issue as you in that Windows wouldnt load), the motherboard you are using isnt much of a overclocker hence why you cant seem to get past 3.2ghz. Its more that your motherboard isnt allowing you to get any higher speeds rather than the CPU temperatures (as they seem very good) If you want to achieve how overclocking speeds you need a P45 motherboard (P45 chipset) most others wont give you a insane jump from 2.6 to 3.8ghz. Though those are hard to find now and also when found the price is that of the newer Intel motherboards sooooo. I dont have the Q6600 anymore but I upgraded from a overclocked E4400, which at the time would cause lagging in games like BFBC2, to the Q6600.
