2200 Machine Type And Serial Number Are Invalid Lenovo

Hi all, I have the mother board replaced for some reasons; the tech flashed the EEPROM and left. Then the machine has an error during boot complaining invalid Machine Type code and Serial Number, which shows up wrong in SystemUpdate & Lenovo Toolbox as well. (13CTCTO instead of 4313CTO) So I have the tech come back and reflash it. This time, the machine type code and SN shows up right in BIOS (4313CTO), but when I boot into windows and launch SystemUpdate & the Toolbox, it still says 13CTCTO. As a result, I can't pull any driver update with SystemUpdate as it doesn't match with anything on IBM's server.
Even the BIOS update recognize my machine type as 13CTCTO rather than 4313CTO when tried to update the model number. I've already made another call and the tech is coming back Monday. He is pretty helpful; but he is a contracted technician rather than a direct Lenovo guy (pretty common I suppose?).

His Hardward Maintenance Diskette version is 1.76 rather than the most current 1.77. In addition, for reference, there are 3 fields in BIOS: Machine Type (4313CTO), System Serial Number (XXXXXXX), and System Board Serial Number (empty). Has anyone encountered something like this before? I wonder if it can be solved by the tech flashing it again. (I wonder if he may happen to be around this forum too) Thanks for your help in advance.

Lenovo Invalid Machine Type
I just replaced the motherboard on my W510 and now when it boots up I get the following errors: 2200: Machine Type Invalid and Serial Number are invalid. This will help you how to identify the product number, serial number and model name of your machine. Other Lenovo Brands. Motorola Products. When i start my computer, i recieve a 'ERROR: Machine type and serial no. Is invalid' and i hear a beep sound from the CPU at the same time. Does anybody know how to set the new Machine Type and Serial Number after a motherboard replacement for an H535? The motherboard recently failed on my H535 (outside of the Lenovo warranty but still under my credit card's extended warranty). After a great deal of frustration and time, I was finally able to obtain a replacement motherboard from Lenovo.
